I'm turning 21 this year. In the states, that's the legal age for drinking, but I don't drink, I don't like the taste of alcohol, but the age and it's association with it makes me realize even more that I'm getting older, that I have responsibilities, and that I have more control over my choices. I was 18 when I first started here. Actually, making sure I have a place to stay and making sure I have money to pay bills, and sucking it up when I have a job that I'm not the happiest in makes me realize that, too. Lol.
I've always been sort of alone, too, (you know, that kind of person you see that goes off by themselves, and doesn't seem to mind being alone, the one in the restaurant that eats by themself, watches a movie in the theater by themself, or those people you see in school who's constantly in the library looking through books and studying at a table.) I mean I have my friends and close friends and my family, but they all have their own lives, too. Yet, I've fallen in love over the summer, which I won't go into. Heh, no one needs to know about that or the details! and I don't want to get all lovey-dovey or sappy here, but I have a friend through it all who's always been there for me and continues to be there for me and doesn't make me feel alone even when I am; it's a long distance, international relationship, but it's a relationship that I'm very committed to and would like to focus more on along with my schooling and training.
I'm in my second year of college...it's a lot of work and I'm getting closer to going through training and studying for criminal justice. I think that's what I'm meant to do. Right now, I'm procastinating on studying for a psychology exam, actually, but I felt like writing. It might sound wierd, but I find writing to be a useful warm-up for psychology. I also work part-time and I live with roommates and go back home when I can, and that's about it for me....
I still support you all, and respect and admire you all. I'd like to support you all as much as I can, I still do. I respect everyone and anyone's work, and style, and effort, and contribution to art. This world of art is still significant and important to me, it's my freedom and escape still...besides taking the trains through San Francisco and roaming the streets... you know, when it's not cold and freezing and raining out here.
Thank you all for your support and your comments and your friendship. I'm wishing you all the best and hoping everything's well for you all. Take care everyone.
